Ginger

Yates Hort & Ag brings together the expertise of Organic Crop Protectants, Seasol Hort & Ag, and Yates Commercial to offer Australian ginger (Zingiber officinale) growers a comprehensive range of crop protection, biostimulant and nutritional products. Ginger is highly susceptible to soil-borne diseases including Pythium soft rot (Pythium myriotylum) and Fusarium yellows (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. zingiberi), as well as root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.). Establishing a healthy, free-draining and biologically active growing bed is therefore critical to crop success. Across its long 8-9 month growing season, ginger is also a heavy feeder, with substantial nitrogen and potassium requirements to support vigorous growth and rhizome development.
